Noche de Alegría 2007 - President's Update
At this year's annual gala, "Noche de Alegría", our theme was "Walking on the Water in Faith". Little did I know how this theme with all of its images would catch the hearts and the imagination of our students, faculty, event volunteers, and parents. We increased in events sponsors for a total of 56. We increased in the total amount raised, nearly $180,000 (before expenses). What a miracle, that our families and the business community continues to "walk on water" with us as they reach out their hands and lift us up to continue our work, as Jesus did to Peter.
In the event photos, you will see students, alumni, parents, sponsors, and guests sprinkled throughout the beautifully decorated Corinthian Hall. Everyone is enjoying an evening of dining, dancing, socializing and buying auction items for themselves or as gifts for friends. Our student artwork and class projects continue to amaze our guests. These items were just adorable and truly will be a keepsake for those fortunate enough to purchase them, the mosaic crosses, quilts, bench, artwork, etc.
God bless you all and the work of your hands. I am counting on you to support next year's 25th Anniversary Noche Gala to be held April 5, 2008. Mark your calendars today! My goal for this important milestone in our history is to raise $250,000 for our new campus needs. Start now to secure event sponsors, guests, and donate unique auction items to meet our noble goal. With God's help, and with the generous efforts or our entire Oratorian Families, we will make our 25th Anniversary Year unforgettable! See all photos.
Thank You! Noche de Alegría Sponsors

Lorenzo Negrete Concert
With the assitance of friends and family, Mrs. A. M. Sánchez organized a mini-concert in McAllen featuring the up and coming Mexican artist, Lorenzo Negrete, grandson of Jorge Negrete, in an evening of songs made popular by his grandfather. In addition, guests received a surprise duo presentation by the daughter of Lola Beltran. Monies raised were equally donated to two charities, "Dar y Recibir" and the "Prophet of J.O.Y. Capital Campaign".
Thank You!
Family and friends are enjoying a fabulously delicious "paella" dish prepared by Gerardo Balli. Dr. and Mrs. Reinoso purchased this auction item at this year's Noche de Alegría. Thank you all for your gifts and your purchase helping to promote the Oratory Schools.
